It's quite bizarre but recently, I've been hearing nothing but weddings, marriage, babies, etc. I'm so happy for the 'soon-to-be' or 'just-turned' newlyweds. It's such a joyous and amazing chapter in their lives. While I've recently purchased my first home, I've been getting the "So, when are you guys tying the knot?" questions. I'm not annoyed by it… but my aunt sent me an email recently. She told me about what a Buddhist monk discussed recently. While I call myself a Buddhist, I'm not really that religious… spiritual? Maybe..
He said "As we all know love is blind, so what is marriage?"
"Marriage is the institution for the blinds", rather funny but is true to a certain extent.
"So what is the wedding ceremony?"
"A ceremony to seal our entry to the institution?"
Oui!
